The Lyric has been presenting Musical Theatre for the Aberdeen public for over 50 years, and is a still vibrant and energetic Society which enjoys performing in His Majety's Theatre and Aberdeen Arts Centre.
Our most recent production "Red, Hot & Cole", performed by the Lyric cast this March 2010 in the Aberdeen Arts Theatre, was very successful and enjoyed by all.

Hot on the heels of our last production at His Majesty’s Theatre, the high-flying ‘The Witches of Eastwick’, The Lyric Musical Society is delighted to be bringing the fantastic musical ‘The Producers’ to the North-East.
The Producers’ is based on the 1968 American comedy film written and directed by Mel Brooks, subsequently adapted for stage, which tells the story of Max Bialystock, a theatrical producer, and Leo Bloom, a timid accountant who attempt to cheat their investors by finding the worst play ever written – ‘Springtime For Hitler’ – and turning this into a full-scale Broadway musical – with hilarious consequences! If you enjoy a good laugh, albeit a bit tongue-in-cheek, then this show is for you!
